August 2010 Patricia is a really nice host; she offers a warming place to stay for students or travellers! I immediately felt at home when I arrived at her place.. Her house is small but really comfortable, colourful and warm. Furthermore the house is well furnished with 2 bedrooms (the first one with two single beds / the second one with one single bed) and Internet access! You will have the opportunity to live a rewarding experience and try the typical Spanish food (half board is included!) Her apartment is ideally located; you will definitely enjoy your stay in Valencia! Thanks Patricia! See you soon, I might come back quickly! Magdalena

Patricia is an artist. She is nice, thoughtful, respectful and she just loves welcoming travelers at her place. The place is a bit small but well located in Valencia. I recommend this family, especially to backpackers, travelers or students.

It is a pity that there are travellers who do not read the offer before booking: First of all Patricia, wrote a complete description of her accommodation and have added pictures to show exactly what kind of accommodation it was. I do not see, what the point is if she had another French traveller at home. A Homestay is not a hotel and the bathroom can be tiny as the home. Homestay offers implies a warm welcome and the real life of inhabitants, if it was not what she looked for, well she made the wrong choice to my point of view. I would add a message that Patricia sent to her before her arrival, offering her an airport transfer: “Hola: Necesito saber al vuelo y la hora de llegada a Valencia para recogeros en el aeropuerto.Es un servicio gratuito.Y vuestros datos .Asi os espero en el aeropuerto con un cartel con vuestros nombres Cordialmente Patricia” A stay in an homestay cannot fit everybody, but at least Patricia deserves respect for what she offered,that is to say her own home to people she didn’t know. Though I had paid through the site, and explained this to her and emailed her the confirmations 3 times, Patricia asked me 5 times to pay cash. Also, 40 euros a night for that double room is ridiculous. The room was tiny, did not fit our (small) cases. She was sleeping on the couch, and kept no fan. There was no aircon in the bedroom either but it was in living room, where she slept and only turned it on while she was in there alone. The appartement is tiny, and there was another French girl staying there as well. The bathroom was small, there were spurts of hot water in the shower but not much. The food was terrible let alone the location. It was not in the centre, there were children screaming murder in the middle of the night, men also screaming under our windows, graffiti all over the street etc. The taxis never found the address (and cost 15 euros one way) and when we called to ask where to go Patricia couldn't remember who we were. We left the 2nd day - disappointed and releived to be leaving - to go to a hotel that was the only 30 euros, and was amazingly luxurious, with aircon, fridge, spa bath, pool, sauna and in the city center.
