Host family

A family or just one person can accommodate at his/her place on an occasional basis and will usually ask or not for a financial compensation to the visitor. In our customs, a host familyshould necessarily be compounded of several members. Today, this notion belongs to a bygone era: numerous single persons (men & women) are now hosting tourists so as to make their every day life more meaningful and rewarding. If you have one or more bedrooms available (because your child has just gone for i.e), you can host. It is usually the occasion for the family and the guest to share their culture, their hobbies/interests or learn a language. You can find the term "host family" in the twinning of two towns.
