General Conditions of the Web Site

1. Products and services

Some owners of properties as well as host families are selected by means of multicriteria forms to be filled in. These forms have been crafted following four market studies (accommodation, tourism, hosting, travel) carried out by the Bedycasa team over the last few years. At any time, these families and/or owners of homestay establishments may request Bedycasa to conduct a survey for them Bedycasa will, according to its work schedule, visit them.

2. Contact details and moderation on Bedycasa

Warning: the connection between members is free but you must not ask for the member’s contact details. You will get them once booking is made. We inform you that the Bedycasa staff is regularly moderating the site, which means your account can be deleted in case you don’t respect this condition. Some members from Bedycasa have also asked us to not give out their contact details before exchanging some information with you. Thank you for respecting them.
By signing up to Bedycasa (or any extension linked to it), you agree that your communications can be viewed and controlled by the administration of the site.

3. Duration and termination

The subscription is valid for one year or one quarter (trimestre), renewable as many times as you want to. However, you may terminate this subscription in conformity with the law n° 2005-67 voted on 28th January 2005 n° 2005-67; Every Member will be personally contacted one month prior to the expiry date of his subscription, so as to authorise Bedycasa to renew or terminate his subscription.

4. Booking

Booking a lodging is possible on Bedycasa.

A deposit (30%) will be asked to the traveller/lodger to garantee the booking.

For the families

Please check if you are part of the ‘professional lodgings’ (this is your main activity) or of the ‘private lodgings’ (this is an extra activity). In the latter case, click here to calculate your final price without the deposit.

Refundable deposit for the traveler

50% of the deposit will be refundable only in case the host cannot accommodate the lodger whereas his/her occupancy calendar was updated.

Non-refundable deposit for the traveler

However, this deposit won’t be refundable if the lodger decides not to go at the host property any more.

Refundable deposit to the host

50% of the deposit tha traveler has paid on Bedycasa will be pay to the host only if the traveler cancels his trip from 7 days and less prior to his arrival at the host’s place.

The lodger/traveller commits him/herself to pay the outstanding balance on arrival (at the host property).

Once the deposit has been paid

The host has to honor his/her obligation, such as provide the lodger with a good accommodation at the requested dates and with the conditions indicated in his/her profile. He/she can set further conditions with his/her lodger but in any cases Bedycasa will intervene in these conditions. Besides, we strongly advise you to download and sign our Ethical Charter, sort of code of conduct between the host and his/her lodger.

5. Becoming a member

To become a member, you must provide accurate information about yourself. Following the verification of that information, you will receive a confirmation by email. As a member, you may access the site at any- time. If you are a traveller, you may modify your form and contact the host families as well as the owners who can meet your requirements. If you are a landlord / hosting family, you may modify your form, change the description of your accommodation, add rooms, modify the form regarding the « profile of your guests » etc. Please do not use the account of a third party and do not give your ID to others.

6. Travellers

When you contact a family/ a landlord for the first time, you must provide exact information about yourself and abide by the code of ethics in force on the Internet.

7. Arrangements by travellers

You are personally responsible for the organisation of your travel arrangements (passport, visa, vaccines)..
Kindly liaise directly with the embassy or the consulate of the country you plan to visit.

8. Cancellation

Once you are on site, your host will not be able to make any refund in case of cancellation following death or sickness. Bedycasa Bedycasa recommends that you take an insurance to cover that type of occurrence. Bedycasa informs travellers as well as owners and host families that they are not automatically insured against theft, loss, damages of any nature. Bedycasa recommends that you read the « INSURANCE » section in the Terms and Conditions.

9. Price et payment

Free subscription for the Travellers/ lodgers and students

Free subscription for the hosts

A slight commission (15%) will be taken in case of successful booking

10. Conditions of payment

Changes in price & programme

Bedycasa reserves the right to change the prices shown according to the cost of living index.

Payment secured by Internet

Bedycasa recommends the E-transactions payment system of Crédit Agricole :

1. Secured payments

This is a standard payment protocol which is recognized throughout the world for the protection of data transmitted via the Internet. It is available on practically all browsers (Internet Explorer V3.02 and subsequent versions of Microsoft, Navigator V1.1 and subsequent versions of Netscape, Firefox…).

The data provided on your card (number, expiry date, etc) are encrypted prior to being sent from your PC to the e-transactions payment server.

11.Insurance

Travelers

Bedycasa recommends you to purchase a travel insurance cover (repatriation, accidents, thefts, loss, cancellation etc). Bedycasa will not be held responsible for consequences resulting from failure to subscribe to insurance.
If you are not covered by such a private insurance, Bedycasa recommends you to subscribe to Elvia where the premium charged will be billed separately at a rate corresponding to the services purchased.

Owners/hos families

The landlord or the host family may also purchase an insurance policy against theft, materials damages caused by a third party. In principle this is offered at the time that you sign your lease for your stay. Kindly contact your insurance company for more details.

12. Under age

• Under age children cannot travel alone without the written authorisation of their parents. This document must be sent by email or by express courier delivery to the family who will be hosting the child => download the authorisation
• Under age children must not be served any alcoholic drinks, except if it is legal in the country where they are staying
• Under age children below 16 years of age are not authorized to go out alone (without chaperon) late in the evening, except in the context of school outings or if the law of the country authorizes it
• Under age children between 16 and 18 is authorized to be out till 1:00 a.m., except on weekends and if the law of that country so authorizes.
• Under age children are not authorized to travel alone in, or outside, the country they are visiting on the contrary, parents shoulder full responsibility if their minors do so.

13. Jurisdiction

Only French law applies to this Internet Web site and to the General Conditions. In case of lawsuit, the competence of the Avignon tribunal is the only one recognized.

14. Responsability

Bedycasa.com is a matching website. In that sense, Bedycasa will, in no way, be liable for the content or lack of relevance of the information inserted in the forms available on the site in so far as these advertisements are drafted by third parties who are solely and singly responsible for their content. A. COPYRIGHT AND TRADE MARKS
The content, namely text (copyright), graphics (registration of drawings and model) and illustrations (logo, registration of sign), published by the World Family company are copyright protected.

Any reproduction, representation as a whole or in part, of this site by any means whatsoever, whether in France or abroad, without having obtained the express authorisation Bedycasa is interdicted and it would constitute a counterfeit punishable under articles L 335-2 and foll. of the Intellectual Property Code.

B. DATABASE
Data bases appearing on the Internet site are protected by the clauses of the law dated 11th July 1998 contained in the (Intellectual Property Code) Code de la propriété intellectuelle (CPI) of the European directive dated 11th March 1996 relating to the legal protection of data bases.

9. IDs passwords

Each user who creates an account on his personal location is characterized by an ID and a password.

The password which allows the user to identify himself and to be connected to the services is personal and confidential. The user is alone responsible for the utilization of his password. The user commits himself to keep his password secretly and not to divulge it in any form whatsoever.

10. Limited access

World Family reserves the right to refuse to any user access to the whole or part of Bedycasa.com, site, unilaterally and without prior notice, namely in case of blatant violation of this legal warning by a user.

11. Amendments of these terms et conditions
