Kawaza village is probably the best way to get to know the local people & their "ways of living ". Kawaza Village offers the more adventurous traveller a stay in a traditional rural, Zambian village. Visit us for the day or stay with us longer. Upon arrival an itinerary based on the wishes and interests of the visitor is drawn up. Accommodation and food is totally African. There is the chance to meet the Chief, a local traditional healer, to spend a morning with the ladies collecting water and cooking, to help with constructions and to dance with the ladies. This is not a set up village, but a chance for you to spend time with an African family and community. Kawaza Village - Rooms You stay in traditional huts in Kawaza Village, with a reed bed and mosquito net. There is a long drop toilet. Kawaza Village - Dining Meals at Kawaza Village consist of traditional African food and you are invited to join in and help with daily tasks involved in food preparation.
Itinéraire
Kawaza is located in the Luangwa Valley , bordering South Luangwa National Park, in Zambia ’s Eastern Province . International flights convenient for the Luangwa Valley arrive in Lusaka , Zambia ’s capital, or into neighbouring Malawi ( Lilongwe ). From Lusaka or Lilongwe , the Luangwa Valley can easily be reached by an internal flight (to Mfuwe Airport ), private vehicle or coach/bus.
