DIRECTIONS TO MAYA MOUNTAIN LODGE We will be glad to provide a shuttle from Belize City or the Airport on your arrival day. But is you prefer your own transportation, directions are below. From Belize International Airport From Belize City By Bus From Belize International Airport Go out of the airport approximately 2 miles until you come to a T with the Northern Highway. Take a left. Continue north for a few miles until you get to a small road going left by a large communications tower on the left. At that corner, there is usually a police checkpoint (since you are going to turn left, you probably won’t have to stop to be checked). Also on that same corner is a nice housing area. Take a left at that intersection and continue for about 8-10 miles. You will cross the Belize River, pass the little town of Burrel Boom, and pass the prison. Then will find some slow down big bumps in the road, advising you that you are approaching the town of Hattieville and an intersection. At the round-about, stop if anyone is already in the circle, then enter with care and take the first right possible. You are now on the Western Highway that takes you all the way to San Ignacio. Continue on approximately 55 miles to San Ignacio-Santa Elena. Beware of one or two bumps in almost every town along the highway. In San Ignacio you come to one bump, then a curve, then another bump by a Cp gas station on the right. Take your next left in about 100 feet, going up hill at an angle at the corner of Public Works (you'll see the Maya Mountain sign at teh corner. Continue approximately .9 miles and you’ll see the Maya Mountain Lodge sign on the right. Turn in to the right.
