What Bedycasa Signifies

What does Bedycasa mean?

BedyCasa has been a pioneer in homestay rental since 2007, putting hosts who have a room to rent in touch with travellers, students or people away on business trips who are looking for cheaper accommodation, with security, ease in booking, and a more human experience. "Bed" stands for "Bed & Breakfasts" and "Casa" stands for "Casa rural" which are the two main Homestay accommodation types around the World. The 'y' represents the 'you', which places 'human' in the center of the accommodation. Bedycasa offers a platform for travellers and hosts across the world to get in contact with each other. As such, you can find a range of accommodation on the site, ranging from: rooms at locals', private rooms or rented accommodation, Bed and Breakfasts, Guest Houses (Chambres d’hôtes) and Gîtes (in France), Casas Rurales, (in Spain and Portugal), Homestays, Farms, Hostels, Riads (in Morocco) and Minshukus and Ryokans (in Japan).

The Origins of Bedycasa

Totem

Magali Boisseau is the creator of the 'BedyCasa' concept. Passionate about travelling and foreign cultures, Magali has tried and tested a huge amount of rooms by staying with locals' across the world, and as such in 2007, she sought to unite these experience in the form of a blog. Having been recognised by the press, the blog evolved into a non-commercial website in 2008, and then into a professional website in 2009. Today BedyCasa hosts several thousand members registered in 159 countries, all with the same aim: to discover the world in a different way, and to enrich their personal and cultural life.  .
