THE LOFT: Two double rooms (upstairs) which share an ensuite bathroom. These rooms have kitchen facilities and TV.
For the easiest way to get on to the main road north of Auckland, follow these directions:
Exit the airport terminal and turn left (north) on to George Bolt Memorial Drive (20A). If you are coming from the domestic terminal, just go straight ahead.
Follow the road north to merge with the South Western Motorway. Continue on.
Cross the Mangere Bridge over the harbour. Get in to the left lane on or before the bridge and prepare to exit.
Take the first motorway exit on the left just after the bridge.
Turn left on to Onehunga Harbour Road (signposted Onehunga / Penrose).
Follow Onehunga Harbour Road back around under the motorway.
At the traffic lights, turn right on to Neilson Street.
Stay on Neilson Street (past Waikaraka Park Raceway) until the road curves left and comes to large traffic lights.
Turn right on to Church Street.
Cross the bridge over the railway lines. Move to the left lane while on the bridge.
At the traffic lights immediately after the bridge, go straight ahead (cross Great South Road) but keep to the left ready to join the motorway.
At the next lights, follow the on-ramp to the left on to the Southern Motorway (heading north) (1).
Keep to the middle or right lanes and carry on all the way through Central Auckland, following the signs for Whangarei!
The Bed and Breakfast is located in a peaceful setting amongst mature native trees, overlooking the beautiful Taiharuru Estuary.
We are just 30 minutes drive east of Whangarei.

There are numerous beautiful and uncrowded sandy beaches just a few minutes drive from Tidesong. These vary from surf beaches to quiet sheltered estuaries. There is plenty of opportunity for swimming, fishing, walking or just relaxing.
There are a number of scenic walks in the Whangarei Heads area suitable for various levels of fitness and ability.
The Whangarei Heads area has a dramatic landscape formed from the erosion of an ancient volcano. Those feeling adventurous enough to climb one of the peaks are rewarded by stunning views of the harbour, and there are opportunities to see some rare native plant and bird life.
